Christmas time is here! and Granny is coming to visit . Join Mum, daughter, baby, and dog as they rush around getting ready for the big day. There is so much to do, and everybody helps. This delightful book deals with the everyday aspects of family life that children will really be able to relate to. Shopping, making presents, cooking, and decorating the tree are just some of the activities that the family undertake in this humorous tale of family life.

Economic text is perfectly balanced with detailed colourful illustrations. Empowering inclusive language speaks to the audience “We will do the shopping”

The setting is set up with the illustrations, whilst simple text (a single statement per double page), jumps straight into the narrative. These features combine to give a strong sense of family togetherness.

Detailed illustrations force the reader to linger and ponder and provides the perfect opportunity for adult and child to relate personally to the scenario.

Another outstanding feature is how the illustrations realistically reflect the messy shambolic side of family life. We can all relate to that!

Flowng through this simple tale is an underlying subplot of tension that will ensure that adults will really enjoy this book, and will ensure its longevity. Most important of all, is that the illustrations provide a cosy opportunity for children and adults to share their everyday experiences with each other.

Recommended age, 0-6 and beyond! This book has broad appeal.

Format; Hardback, thick durable pages,.Small sized book perfect for little hands to hold.
